Securities Lending Operations is a dynamic department that works with partners across the HSBC Global Banking and Markets business to deliver Securities Lending solutions to clients.

The Equity Derivatives Business Analyst / Project Manager will be responsible for analysis and delivery management of initiatives that achieve the new externalised pricing capabilities to meet the outcomes defined by clients such as the FO Desk and downstream Risk and Finance consumers as well as other parallel initiatives aimed at demising the Trade and Product booking system, endeavouring to harmonise the work across multiple client asks to provide a consistent and stable pricing platform. The role will engage with a wide range of front-office, technology and front-to-back stakeholders and partners across HSBC.

In this role you will:

  1. Deliver core components of the Sophis Demise Programme - Risk and Valuation, including Pre-Trade, Derived Market Data and Quant Services. Run working groups for these streams, delegating for the Programme Manager as required.
  2. Assist in the definition of at the annual level, quarterly level and progress tracking level OKRs.
  3. Build relationships with traders and consumers for the best of the programme and business.
  4. Champion strategic design and delivery decisions that best work for the various workstreams and for the Business. Input to design forums and decisions. Pursue alignment across Equities. Ensure technology solutions align with the long-term business strategy.
  5. Drive FtB alignment with Sophis Demise Programme, by ensuring that Strategic Build is applied to all initiatives where applicable and possible and flag all tactical / Interim IT work.

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
  1. This role requires a deep understanding of Equity Derivatives products and pricing.
  2. Knowledge of the Sophis application, its capabilities and data model.
  3. Experience of Primary Trading Systems, including Sophis, data flows to supporting functions (consumers), and the purposes they serve, i.e. the business and operational processes that drive the need for downstream data feeds.
  4. Must have a successful history of being able to work closely with business, product, COO, supporting functions and technology to drive change in a collaborative manner.
  5. Reference and Market data knowledge, as it pertains to the data required for an Equity Derivatives post-trade platform, with HSBC-specific knowledge being a distinct advantage.

This role is based in London.
