Associate Customer Success Engineer

join the Customer Support team while studying for a Digital and Technology Solutions Professional Degree Apprenticeship.

THIS IS A DEGREE APPRENTICESHIP ROLE WHICH REQUIRES STUDY AT MANCHESTER METROPOLITAN UNIVERSITY. ALL OFFERS ARE SUBJECT TO ACCEPTANCE ON THE DEGREE PROGRAMME.

All undergraduate degree apprenticeships demand a lot of time and commitment. Our existing apprentices have excelled, we are not lowering our standards. Bring your a game.

  • Start Date: September 2025
  • Location: Manchester City Centre Office
  • Salary: £18,000
  • Reports to: Head of Support & Compliance
Role Overview:

We are looking for a dynamic individual for an engineering role within our support team. Technology will be your passion and always on the lookout for improving systems and processes. You will join a small team supporting our customers and their solutions, with a focus on using your engineering skills to assess and triage technical challenges that may well be more code based.

Time is split as needed between university and work. We will ensure you get all the time you need to attend studies and complete course work.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain web applications using Nodejs and React and diagnose issues
  • Maintain and triage issues with RESTful APIs
  • Work with AWS services for cloud infrastructure
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions
Qualifications:

Not all applications will have skills that match a job description exactly. At Ciptex you will learn a range of skills, but we're expecting you to have some programming experience. We're looking for people who can tick at least 4-5 of the following skills:

  • Understanding of JavaScript, Nodejs and React
  • Familiarity with Express.js or similar Node.js API frameworks
  • Strong understanding of AWS services (e.g. EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS)
  • Familiarity with GitHub and CI/CD workflows
  • Familiarity with TypeScript
  • Unit testing knowledge
  • Understanding of Authentication and Cyber Security
  • Familiarity with the Twilio platform
  • Knowledge of containerisation technologies (e.g. Docker)
  • Understanding of modern UI and UX
  • Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases
AND at least 2 of the following:
  • A passion for problem solving
  • Great communication (written and oral)
  • Understanding principles of customer service
  • A can-do attitude
  • A proven team player
