The Ladder Group
London
GBP 60,000 - 80,000
Job description

Are you an entrepreneurial and driven individual looking to shape the social impact of organisations? If so, we want you to join Ladder Consulting as an Associate Consultant.

The Ladder Group

We are a group of two businesses (The Early Careers Company and Ladder Consulting) and one charity (The Early Careers Foundation) that share a common purpose: to create incredible careers, for everyone. We partner with organisations to achieve their most ambitious future talent and social mobility objectives with strategic innovation and inclusive talent acquisition. Our charity is fully funded by The Ladder Group’s businesses, ensuring that the exceptional results we deliver for clients fuel our mission to transform outcomes for young people. We’re an energetic, young and growing team with ambitious growth plans. Our people thrive on collaboration, working hard and having fun while doing so!

Ladder Consulting

Ladder Consulting is the newest organisation formed within The Ladder Group, dedicated to enabling businesses to harness the full potential of their employees, regardless of their background. Ladder Consulting is where The Ladder Group’s purpose and high-performance culture intersect – delivering world-class service to our clients through a lens of social impact and responsibility.

Drawing on a unique blend of social mobility, inclusion and talent expertise derived from across The Ladder Group, we are reshaping how businesses view social mobility – as not just a moral imperative but a strategic advantage that fosters diversity, resilience and innovation.

Our Ideal Candidate

With ongoing demand from current and future clients, we’re excited to expand our reach by hiring at the Associate Consultant level. We are looking for intelligent, curious and driven people to join the Ladder Consulting team. Being a newly established and fast-growing organisation, you must have an entrepreneurial mindset – consulting work can be inherently ambiguous and so we need individuals who are excited by the opportunity to work on projects where you will need to innovate and devise new processes. Your responsibilities will be varied, including (but not limited to!):

  • Executing the delivery of consulting projects including quantitative and qualitative research, data collection, analysis and interpretation
  • Synthesising information into visual and engaging project materials, resources and deliverables (including decks, presentations and reports)
  • Contributing to the project management process of multiple concurrent projects whilst working to tight deadlines
  • Participating in client meetings to understand their needs and project focuses, acting as a supporting point of contact for certain projects
  • Collaborating with team members to develop and implement project strategies (these can span from one-off learning workshops to new organisational-wide strategies and everything in between!)
  • Assisting with the development of proposals, pitches and other business development activities alongside The Ladder Group’s Commercial Team

Role requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 1-3 years of professional work experience
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational & project management abilities with an eye for detail
  • The confidence to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a quickly changing environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Compensation and benefits:

  • £32-40k starting salary plus annual bonuses
  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays
  • Private health insurance through Vitality
  • Work from home Wednesdays
  • An electric company car which you can book for weekends away
  • Team and Group socials every quarter
  • A MacBook to work on when you join
