Are you a strong communicator and a “people person” looking for a high-profile civil design role? This is an opportunity to play a pivotal role in one of the UK’s largest and most exciting infrastructure upgrades!

The Project:

As part of Heathrow’s Net Zero strategy, the airport’s entire power supply is undergoing a significant upgrade. The project involves a complex network of 275/132 kV and 132/11 kV substations, feeding a 132 kV ring and distributing power across the airport’s 243 aeroplane stands.

The Role:

As an Associate Civil Design Engineer, you will:

1. Lead and manage an embedded civil & structural engineering team at Heathrow.
2. Work closely with Heathrow Airport Limited and the electrical design teams.
3. Oversee the detailed design phase starting in 2025.
4. Drive business development, building strong client relationships and identifying new opportunities.
5. Play a key role in growing the team and ensuring successful project delivery.

What We’re Looking For:

1. Chartered Civil Engineer (ICE or equivalent).
2. Strong technical knowledge of civil and structural design in power or infrastructure projects.
3. Proven leadership skills – able to motivate, manage, and develop a team.
4. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
5. Experience working on embedded teams or large-scale energy projects is advantageous.
