Assistant Town Planner / Planner - Chichester
Location: Chichester, West Sussex
Salary: £28,000 - £38,000 (DOE) + benefits

Are you an ambitious Assistant Town Planner or recently qualified Planner looking to take the next step in your career?


We're working exclusively with a well-regarded planning and development consultancy based in Chichester, who are looking to grow their friendly and dynamic team with the addition of a driven and proactive Assistant Town Planner or Town Planner.


This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience across a diverse range of projects, working closely with experienced professionals in a supportive environment. Whether you're recently RTPI-accredited or working towards chartership, this role will offer the mentoring and exposure needed to thrive.


What You'll Be Doing:
  1. Assisting with and managing a variety of planning applications across the South East
  2. Preparing planning appraisals and policy representations
  3. Engaging with clients, local authorities, and other stakeholders
  4. Supporting senior team members on larger-scale projects
  5. Conducting site visits and research to support planning statements and reports

What We're Looking For:
  1. Degree or master's in Town Planning or a related field (RTPI accredited)
  2. RTPI membership or working towards chartership
  3. Previous experience in a planning role (private or public sector)
  4. Strong written and verbal communication skills
  5. A proactive, positive attitude and eagerness to learn
  6. Full UK driving licence preferred
