Join Our Dynamic Mental Health Team as an Assistant Team Manager!

Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of citizens in Dudley? A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join our dynamic service as an Assistant Team Manager in the Mental Health Team. We are looking for an experienced and dedicated professional with a highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice.

About Us: Our mission is to ensure that adults with lived experience of mental health can live healthy, safe, independent, and fulfilling lives. We work collaboratively with our partners to develop an integrated service and improve the journey for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership, operational management, and direction to a team, contributing to the delivery of services across Adult Social Care/Mental Health.
  • Collaborate with the management team to ensure a robust and efficient duty system, including identifying, assessing, meeting needs, and conducting reviews (Section 117).
  • Represent the service at relevant partnership meetings.
  • Offer professional support, case management, and social work advice, utilising critical reflective skills in management practice.
  • Provide supervision and professional guidance in line with council policies, supporting staff to maintain professional and personal boundaries.
  • Ensure staff meet legislative requirements and deliver positive outcomes for Dudley citizens. Support co-production to ensure the service is responsive and accountable to local people, involving adults, children, young people, families, and carers.
  • Oversee and lead safeguarding investigations, chairing case conferences and strategy meetings as appropriate.
  • Implement Council performance management processes and deliver professional development across the defined service area, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and legislation.
