Assistant Syndicate Accountant - City of London - £50k

Your new company

I am currently working with a leading global speciality insurance group who are looking for an Assistant Syndicate Accountant to join their team. Based in Central London, reporting to the FC, this role will play a key part in helping the finance team on a permanent basis.

Your new role

1. Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations
2. Create journal entries into the general ledger
3. Assist with preparation of outputs for Syndicate reporting to Lloyds, including QMA, US regulatory reporting & Lloyds tax returns
4. Assist with preparation of outputs for Solvency II reporting to various regulators

What you'll need to succeed

1. Experience working as an Assistant Syndicate Accountant
2. Knowledge of Xchanging bureau systems
3. Be a proactive self-starter
4. Strong communication skills - able to interact with members of the finance and actuarial departments
5. Knowledge and understanding of Lloyds financial regulatory returns, Core Market, MDC and Overseas return systems.
