Exciting New Opportunity: Assistant Support Manager

Are you ready to take the next step in your career and make a meaningful impact on the lives of children? We're excited to announce a newly created hybrid role: Assistant Support Manager. This unique position offers the opportunity to lead, inspire, and support teams across two of our multi-building children's homes, ensuring exceptional care and consistency for children affected by trauma.

About The Role

As a key member of the team, you'll split your responsibilities between strategic leadership and hands-on care. Reporting to the Registered Service Manager, you'll oversee daily operations, mentor staff, and drive high standards of child-centred care. This dynamic role includes:

  1. Leading and supervising a team of 12 staff.
  2. Supporting care delivery during shifts, including sleeps and on-call duties.
  3. Managing compliance with statutory regulations and organisational policies.
  4. Engaging directly with children to foster trust and emotional wellbeing.
  5. Facilitating a safe, nurturing, and empowering environment for children.
What We're Looking For

We're Seeking a Compassionate, Resilient Leader With

  1. A Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People's Workforce (or equivalent).
  2. Supervisory experience in children's residential care (minimum 12 months).
  3. Strong knowledge of the Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and trauma-informed practices.
  4. A full UK driving licence and flexibility to provide on-call support.

Support is available to achieve the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care.
