About the role:

Working closely with a highly experienced Site Manager, you will assist in the daily operations of a busy housing development. Duties and responsibilities include:

1. Working with the Site Manager in taking ownership of agreed build programmes at pre-start meetings
2. Assisting with ensuring that Health & Safety procedures are strictly adhered to
3. Conforming to building regulations and warranty providers' requirements (NHBC, LABC)
4. Assisting with ensuring cost effective production in line with development budgets
5. Assisting with the organisation of site meetings and pre-planning
6. Ensuring production/progress returns are updated and sent to the Contracts Manager
7. Assisting with ensuring site security and good practice is maintained
8. Ensuring a sensible level of stock control in accordance with build requirements
9. Ensuring the quality meets with Company and warranty expectations
10. Ensuring sub-contractors work within the required specification and adhere to Company Policies
11. Ensuring that procedures and controls are fully implemented by all site personnel
12. Ensuring plots are finished to a high standard by taking ownership of plots until completion
13. Taking responsibility for the supervision of cranes

Assistant Site Manager Requirements:

1. Previous experience delivering new build housing developments
2. Ability to motivate the team and subcontractors
3. Up to date knowledge of health and safety obligations and building legislation
4. Valid SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid certificates
