Location: Dalkeith, Scotland
Salary: GBP24.91 per hour umbrella
Job Type: Full-time, temporary
Start Date/Duration: May 2025- December 2025

Randstad are looking for an experienced Assistant Site Manager to work on a large housing site in Dalkeith. The right candidate must be able to support the Site Manager and have a good level of experience with keeping with KPI's on site, health & safety and good at client facing too.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist the Site Manager with the daily supervision and coordination of site activities.
2. Ensure work is carried out safely, on time, and to the required standards.
3. Monitor subcontractor performance and manage site logistics.
4. Conduct regular quality inspections and ensure compliance with building regulations.
5. Assist in managing materials deliveries and site housekeeping.
6. Maintain accurate site records including daily diaries, progress reports, and health & safety documentation.
7. Support effective communication between trades, suppliers, site teams, and senior management.
8. Be client facing in meetings.

1. Previous experience as an Assistant Site Manager or Site Supervisor in residential construction.
2. Strong knowledge of housebuilding methods, NHBC standards, and H&S regulations.
3. Valid SMSTS or SSSTS, First Aid, and CSCS certification.
4. Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
5. A proactive, team-oriented attitude with strong communication skills.
