Assistant Quantity Surveyor - Civil Engineering - North West London

We are currently seeking an ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established civil engineering contractor working on key infrastructure projects in North West London. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with early experience in the sector, looking to take the next step in their career within a supportive and professional environment.

The Role:

As Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will support the commercial team across a range of civil engineering works, contributing to the effective management of costs and contracts. You'll work closely with project managers and senior QS's to ensure financial efficiency from procurement to final accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in the preparation of cost estimates and tender submissions
  2. Support the management of subcontractor accounts and payments
  3. Assist with cost reporting and forecasting
  4. Help ensure projects are delivered within budget and contractual obligations
  5. Provide input into procurement strategies and contract administration
  6. Ensure compliance with NEC contracts and industry standards

What We're Looking For:

  1. Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering
  2. Experience in the civil engineering or infrastructure sector
  3. Working knowledge of NEC contracts is highly desirable
  4. Strong numeracy, communication, and organisational skills
  5. Enthusiastic, proactive, and willing to learn from senior team members
