Assistant Quantity Surveyor - Drywall Sector - Tonbridge, Kent


Brief:

We are currently partnering with a leading specialist contractor in the drywall, suspended ceilings, and steel framing sector, who are looking to hire an Assistant Quantity Surveyor. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with previous experience in the drywall industry to join a fast-growing team delivering high-quality projects across London and the South East.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assisting in the preparation of tender documents and cost estimates.
  2. Supporting the management of project budgets and cost control.
  3. Conducting site visits and inspections to monitor project progress.
  4. Assisting in the preparation of valuations, payments, and variations.
  5. Preparing and submitting final accounts.
  6. Liaising with contractors, clients, and suppliers.
  7. Ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.

About You:

  1. A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field is preferred, but not essential.
  2. Some experience in the construction industry is beneficial, particularly in drywall or similar trades.
  3. Strong organisational and communication skills.
  4. Ability to work well in a team and under the guidance of senior staff.
  5. A proactive, eager-to-learn attitude with a strong attention to detail.
