Assistant Quantity Surveyor

We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join an established contractor based near Southampton. The business operates across Surrey, Hampshire and Berkshire, undertaking projects valuing up to £10mil across the education, retail and commercial sectors. Projects are administered via a mix of JCT and NEC forms of contract. They work closely with local councils and have a steady pipeline of work.

About the role of Assistant Quantity Surveyor:

As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will be working closely with a Senior Quantity Surveyor to manage the commercial aspect of the scheme. You will be involved in projects from the early procurement stage and remain with the project until final accounts have been completed.

Key Responsibilities as Assistant Quantity Surveyor:

1. Involvement in pre-construction activities
2. Procurement of various sub-contract packages
3. Dealing with variations
4. Assisting in completing monthly CVRs

Key Requirements for this Assistant Quantity Surveyor position:

1. Educated to HNC / Degree level
2. Experience working within a main contractor
3. Be a driven and ambitious individual
