Package: GBP30,000 - GBP40,000 plus Car Allowance

Skilled Careers are pleased to announce we have been selected to search for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor on behalf of a rapidly growing and very profitable Main Contractor.

Due to an impressive amount of work winning and growth, my client has an exciting opportunity within the Commercial Team.

The Company:

They are one of Europe's fastest growing Main Contractors who are turning over GBP500m a year. They have seen a huge amount of growth this year while achieving amazing profit margins year after year. They currently have multiple live projects across the UK with values ranging from GBP20m up to GBP200m.

The Opportunity:

The Assistant Quantity Surveyor will be working on a GBP20m+ Commercial New Build/ Life Science Fit-Out Project in Oxford. You will be working as part of a strong commercial team, while reporting into the commercially leading Senior Quantity Surveyor.

Role & Responsibilities:

1. Work beneath a Senior Quantity Surveyor on a GBP20m+ Commercial New Build/ Life Science Fit-Out Project in Oxford.
2. Develop and encourage project team performance ensuring that main contractual obligations and strategies are executed and regularly reviewed.
3. Help the commercial team deliver the project from early procurement until completion on site later down the line.

Candidate Description:

1. Must have 1+ years experience in quantity surveying (main contractor experience is ideal).
2. Able to work under pressure.
3. Commercial experience is essential.
4. Industrial/ Leisure/ Data Centres or Life Science experience is ideal.
5. Degree in Quantity Surveying/ Commercial Management is ideal.
6. Strong communication skills, confident in report writing and actively engaging in meetings.

The role is site based.
