About Us:
We are a leading main contractor specializing in large-scale industrial and steel frame construction projects across the North West of England. Renowned for our high-quality work and innovative approach, we are currently seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of a £50,000,000 landmark project in London.
The Role:
As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will be an integral part of our project team, assisting with the financial management of a significant industrial and steel frame construction project. Your role will provide you with excellent opportunities for career progression, working closely with experienced quantity surveyors and project managers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and management of project budgets, cost plans, and financial forecasts.
- Support the procurement and management of subcontractor agreements, including preparation of tender documentation.
- Help with the valuation of work completed and preparation of interim and final payment applications.
- Contribute to cost value reconciliations and reporting on project financial performance.
- Assist in the assessment and management of variations and claims.
- Prepare and maintain accurate documentation and records for project financials.
- Collaborate with the project team to ensure accurate cost control and reporting.
- Participate in regular site visits to monitor progress and verify financial data.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry, ideally with exposure to industrial and steel frame projects.
- Strong understanding of cost management, procurement processes, and contract administration.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
- Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Familiarity with industry-standard software and tools.
- Eagerness to learn and develop within the role with a commitment to career progression.
