Assistant Quantity Surveyor

This regionally focused, vibrant business with an excellent reputation is looking to expand their team with an additional member of staff!

Having a number of live sites across Devon, the company is actively looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their team to support Senior Surveyors while developing your own experience and career on an exciting new residential development in the area.

As the Assistant QS on site, you will be required to undertake or support commercial duties for the scheme including procurement, measurements, agreeing payments, assisting with final accounts, and reporting.

Applicants should possess:

1. Previous experience in a Trainee QS or Assistant Quantity Surveying role
2. Construction related experience - ideally housebuilding but not essential
3. Excellent communication and numeracy skills
4. A good understanding and general interest in construction
5. A minimum HNC level qualification in Construction or related subject
6. A desire to build on your experience and progress
7. Fully IT literate

All sites are within a commutable distance of Exeter.

Thorough and in-depth in-house training will be provided, with the option to undertake external courses. Clear progression is not governed by time periods, but by how quickly the person progresses.

Ideally, a background in housing is preferred, but not essential, as we are open to backgrounds in construction.
