Title: Assistant Quantity Surveyor | Lancashire | £30,000 - £40,000 + Package

Your new role
Our client is seeking a motivated Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a developing professional to gain valuable experience while assisting in the financial management of construction projects. You will support senior surveyors and project teams in cost planning, procurement, and contract administration.


Responsibilities will include:

  1. Assisting in the preparation of cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents.
  2. Supporting the management and monitoring of project costs.
  3. Assisting with contract administration and procurement processes.
  4. Conducting site visits and liaising with clients, contractors, and suppliers.
  5. Assisting in evaluating variations, claims, and final accounts.
  6. Providing support in the preparation of financial reports and forecasts.
  7. Ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies.

What you will need to succeed:

  1. A degree (or working towards one) in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
  2. Some experience in a Quantity Surveying role, ideally within construction.
  3. Basic knowledge of construction contracts, procurement, and cost management.
  4. Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  5. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. Ability to work as part of a team and support senior colleagues.
  7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant cost management software.
  8. A full UK driving licence is desirable.
