Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Our client is a well-established and reputable scaffolding company with a proven track record in delivering safe, efficient, and innovative access solutions across a range of sectors. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of upcoming projects, they are now looking to recruit an ambitious and detail-driven Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team.

The Role:

As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you'll support the Senior QS and commercial department in managing the financial and contractual aspects of various scaffolding projects. Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist in the preparation of cost estimates, budgets, and tender documentation
2. Support the valuation of works and preparation of interim applications for payment
3. Help manage project variations and cost control procedures
4. Liaise with clients, site teams, and suppliers to ensure accurate cost reporting
5. Maintain contract documentation and assist in project final accounts
6. Conduct site visits to monitor progress and measure completed work

Requirements:

1. A degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field (or working towards)
2. Experience in the construction or scaffolding sector is desirable
3. Strong numerical and analytical skills
4. Good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel
5. Excellent communication and organisational skills
6. Eagerness to learn and progress within a supportive team
