Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust
1 permanent post & 1 fixed term post (12 months).
We have an exciting opportunity for two assistant psychologists to join our neurodiversity team.
It is an exciting time to come and work in Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin's Children, Young People and Families Services. We have received additional investment to improve the support available. As a result, we are pleased to be able to advertise a number of new roles both substantive and fixed-term posts. We can welcome clinicians who want to work in Children's Mental Health Services. Where people are interested and passionate about working with children but have identified additional training, we may be able to train staff to develop the appropriate skills.
Our Neurodiversity team provides diagnostic assessments and support to children with autism and/or attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. The role of the assistant psychologist is to work under the supervision of the Clinical Psychologist, to assist in conducting assessments, providing support to children and their families whilst they wait or post-diagnostically, and to help develop appropriate psychological interventions.

- Providing support to qualified psychologists in delivering assessments and psychological support to the young people and their families awaiting assessment or requiring support within the neurodiversity services.
