We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated psychology graduate to work as an Assistant Psychologist (band 4) in our Complex Housing Intervention Programme, Adult Community Psychology South-West team.
The post will be based in Thurrock Council Civic Offices, with an option for hybrid working. The post requires the successful candidate to be able to work on a Monday on site; the rest of the working week is negotiable.

The role centres on supporting qualified staff in the running of the Complex Housing Intervention Programme in Thurrock. The primary focus is on taking the lead in collecting clinical data (both quantitative and qualitative) for the purposes of outcome monitoring, and analysing this data for the purposes of reporting and service development.
The role also includes supporting qualified staff in completing clinical outcome measures, helping clients to fill these in when required, facilitating the return of outcome measures (phoning clients and monitoring inbox), analysing outcome data and organising the results in relevant reports. The role includes carrying out service evaluation projects and audits of various therapeutic interventions and initiatives.
The assistant psychologist will also assist qualified staff in the development and maintenance of a service-specific electronic patient records system and support clinical staff in completing clinical records.
The role may include shadowing qualified staff and completing structured or semi-structured interviews with clients.
Other responsibilities include supporting qualified staff in offering teaching, supervision and consultation to non-psychology professionals, attending referrals and professional meetings, participating in departmental meetings, and taking up opportunities to shadow other team members.
