Our client is a well-established engineering company currently working on a large-scale project in the Cardiff area. They are seeking an Assistant Project Manager with an electrical bias to join their team on a subcontractor basis, offering a competitive daily rate of £300 - £350, Outside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Project Manager in delivering the electrical aspects of the project within the set timeframes and budget.
Oversee subcontractors, ensuring all work meets project specifications and complies with health and safety regulations.
Collaborate with key stakeholders, including design teams, contractors, and suppliers, to ensure smooth project execution.
Track project progress, identifying and addressing any issues or delays promptly.
Contribute to project reporting, providing technical input as required.
Maintain accurate project documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Requirements:
Proven experience in electrical engineering, ideally within large-scale construction or infrastructure projects.
Previous experience as an Assistant Project Manager or in a similar support role.
Strong understanding of project management tools and methodologies.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Ability to work autonomously and effectively manage subcontractors.
Relevant qualifications in project management or electrical engineering would be an advantage.
