Michael Page are working exclusively with a long term client who are actively searching for an Assistant Project Accountant to join their team in Rotherham on a permanent basis. My client is looking for a progressive candidate that can support across the whole project accountant and finance team, and develop their knowledge in accounts to get themselves qualified over the long term. My client is a prominent player in the manufacturing industry and is experiencing consistent year on year growth. They are well known for providing an extremely friendly and social working environment, where employees can develop and grow in their chosen field.

Job Description

1. Supporting in revenue reconciliations for all live projects
2. Liaising with project accountants and project managers to adhere to deadlines
3. Preparing project budgets and cash flow forecasts
4. KPI management
5. Milestone invoice processing and keeping track of expenses
6. Cost analysis
7. Streamlining processes to cut costs
8. Constantly trying to improve margins

The Successful Applicant

1. Studying AAT, or early stages of ACCA, CIMA would be preferred but not essential
2. Have gained relevant finance experience in an Accounts Assistant, Assistant Accountant role
3. Strong communication skills and showing positive initiative to learn new skills and processes
4. Constantly asking questions in order to develop
5. Understanding of margin and always working to increase profits
6. Progressive personality

1. Generous Salary ranging from £29,000 - £34,000 DOE
2. Study support in ACCA, CIMA
3. Team bonus opportunity every 6 months
