The Role
As an Assistant Professor in Paramedic Science, you will undertake teaching and course coordination while supporting the development and delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and other core activities ensuring students have an effective learning experience.
Assistant Professors lead on aspects of the student learning experience including the leadership of staff teams. Based within the School of Health and Care, you will work with and lead other academic colleagues to enrich the student learning and teaching experience to ensure, as appropriate, relevant evidence and professional context are embedded in modules and courses.

Our Successful Candidate
You will have demonstrable experience of successful teaching at higher education levels 4-6 in paramedic science with the development and demonstration of best practice in teaching, learning, and assessment consistent with our reputation and track record as a high-quality provider of teaching and learning. An experienced team leader with a good level of digital fluency, you will have experience creating teaching materials for face-to-face and online teaching using a VLE.
Enthusiastic and self-motivated, you will have experience in the development and enhancement of an ‘active learning’ pedagogy as appropriate to the academic subject area.
As a global education provider, high levels of cultural awareness with experience of learners’ cultural differences and expectations with the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of people from diverse backgrounds is essential. Innovation and collaboration are key to our success; therefore, the ability to generate and follow through innovative ideas, work both independently and as part of a wider team with the willingness to engage in flexible ways of working are key skills required for this role.
