Assistant Procurement Manager
Competitive salary, 10% annual bonus potential, 25 days annual leave including bank holidays rising with years served and a company pension scheme with highly competitive contribution rates.
Permanent, Full time.

This role will be based at 185 Farringdon Road, London, EC1A 1AA and you will be required to attend the office two days per week.

If you have a background in a procurement or buying related area and strong communication skills to negotiate and influence, we would love to hear from you. We are looking for an Assistant Procurement Manager to join our Print and HR Category Team.

About the Role
Reporting into the Procurement Manager, you will develop and implement effective sourcing strategies and plans for goods and services within the Print and HR Category Team to deliver first class value for the business and protect it from risk.

You will support the Senior Procurement Manager and the Procurement Manager in the account management of internal customers in the business areas serviced by the category, aiding understanding of their business drivers and needs in the context of the company strategy, recommending how they can be most effectively met.

You will contribute to the development and implementation of strategy for the goods and services category to meet internal customers’ needs, provide savings, and manage risk.

You will work collaboratively with other members of the procurement team to make the most effective use of the resources available across the procurement functions and ensure the maintenance of accurate and complete electronic records.

About You
To truly excel in this role, you will possess and be able to evidence the skills and experience listed below:

  1. Background in a procurement or supply chain related area.
  2. Strong analytical and numerical skills.
  3. Capable of building sourcing strategies and gaining buy-in to their implementation.
  4. Experience of program & change management.
  5. Experience in creating innovative solutions relating to supplier spend.
  6. Studying towards the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (MCIPS) or willing to.

Next Steps
