About The Role

Assistant Plant Operator – Sittingbourne

Join our team and help turn waste into energy!

We’re looking for a hands-on Assistant Plant Operator to support the safe and efficient running of our energy-from-waste plant in Sittingbourne. Working on a rotating shift pattern (including weekends and bank holidays), you’ll play a key role in plant operations, inspections, and compliance.

What You’ll Do
  1. Operate boilers and auxiliary plant equipment across the facility.
  2. Support plant operations during startups, shutdowns, and emergencies.
  3. Perform routine inspections and collect key operational data.
  4. Ensure Health & Safety and Environmental compliance.
What We’re Looking For
  1. Experience in Energy from Waste, power generation, or similar industries (preferred but not essential).
  2. A practical, problem-solving mindset with hands-on engineering ability.
  3. Willingness to learn and develop your skills through training.
