Are you a motivated and detail-oriented individual with a passion for finance? Our client, a leading non-profit organisation, is seeking an Assistant Management Accountant to join their dynamic team. As an Assistant Management Accountant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Financial Planning and Analysis team, contributing to the accurate and timely provision of financial information and aiding decision-making processes.
Responsibilities include:
- Supporting the Finance Business Partners by providing accurate and timely management information, budget monitoring, analysis, and advice to budget holders and stakeholders.
- Working collaboratively with the finance team to develop a high-quality finance service, including best practice internal reporting, analysis, and relevant challenge and insight.
- Conducting double-entry bookkeeping and basic accounting adjustments, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Using advanced MS Excel skills to manipulate and analyse large volumes of data efficiently and produce reports.
- Assisting in the production of monthly management accounts and budget holder reports, conducting variance analysis and preparing variance commentary.
- Providing guidance and support to key stakeholders to ensure compliance with financial control requirements.
- Collaborating with colleagues to drive process improvements and enhance overall efficiency.
- Assisting with annual statutory audits and internal audits, providing accurate financial information.
- Supporting the finance team and providing cover as needed.

Requirements:
- Studying towards or gained AAT or equivalent accounting qualification.
- Experience in a finance function, preferably in management accounting.
- Excellent IT skills, including advanced MS Excel and experience with financial systems packages.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
