Assistant Accountant Role

NC Associates are working with a forward-thinking and market-leading organisation to assist in recruiting an Assistant Management Accountant on a 12 months fixed term contract. My client is looking for a confident and driven Assistant Management Accountant who can help support the Management Accountant and Senior Finance Manager. As an Assistant Management Accountant, you will have lots of autonomy and exposure working alongside the Management Accountant who will help support you to build on your existing experience.

Assistant Management Accountant Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing the management accounts for review by the management accountant.
• Posting of monthly journals such as accruals and prepayments.
• Assisting finance manager and management accounts in monthly P&L reporting and analysis.
• Bank reconciliations on a weekly/monthly basis.
• Supporting on the year-end audit, resolving queries with accompanying evidence, etc.
• Assist the Management Accountant and the wider team with ad-hoc tasks.
• Assistance with CIS and VAT returns.

Assistant Management Accountant Experience Required

• AAT qualified / CIMA, ACCA finance graduate.
• Exposure to month-end management accounts.
• Transactional accounting experience.
• Proficiency in Excel (v lookups & pivot tables).
• Excellent data entry and organisational skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• An enthusiastic and positive approach to tasks and duties with a desire to develop within an Accountancy career.
