Job description

SF Recruitment is working with a leading organisation in Worcester to recruit an Assistant Management Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional looking to develop their career in a fast-paced and supportive environment.

Salary: £33,000 per annum
Contract: Permanent Contract
Location: Office based Monday-Friday

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, including variance analysis.
  2. Process accruals, prepayments, and journal entries.
  3. Reconcile key balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy.
  4. Maintain the fixed asset register and process depreciation.
  5. Support the preparation of VAT returns and compliance reporting.
  6. Assist with bank reconciliations and cash flow reporting.
  7. Work closely with the finance team to improve reporting processes.
  8. Support the year-end audit process by preparing relevant schedules.
Requirements:
  1. Part-qualified or actively studying towards ACCA/CIMA (or equivalent).
  2. Minimum of 18 months experience in a finance role with exposure to management accounts.
  3. Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables.
  5. Excellent communication and organisational skills.
