Salary: Up to £35,000 DOE

Adept Resourcing Group is proud to be retained by an internationally renowned manufacturing company who are on the lookout for an Assistant Management Accountant to join the team. Together, we are searching for an AAT Level 4 Qualified Assistant Management Accountant who is detail-orientated, proactive, and passionate about accounting and finance.

Assistant Management Accountant Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow forecasts.
2. Support with budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial information.
3. Perform variance analysis, identifying and explaining key financial trends and discrepancies.
4. Reconcile balance sheet accounts and maintain accurate records of financial transactions.
5. Assist with the preparation of year-end accounts and liaise with external auditors.
6. Provide financial insights and analysis to support decision-making and business performance improvement.
7. Maintain fixed asset registers and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
8. Support ad-hoc projects and financial analysis as required by the finance team.

Assistant Management Accountant Key Requirements:

1. Must be AAT Level 4 qualified or equivalent.
2. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
3. Excellent Excel skills, with the ability to manipulate and analyse large sets of data.
4. Good communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with colleagues across different departments.
5. Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a busy, deadline-driven environment.
7. Desirable to have 3-5 years' experience in an accounting role.
