Hays are working with a stable and growing SME based near Oswestry. The business can boast continued year-on-year growth and increasing profits which have been re-invested into the business. Due to continued growth, the business is looking to appoint an Assistant Management Accountant. The Assistant Management Accountant will be responsible for supporting the provision of financial analysis, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting to the Management team. Working with the Finance Manager, they will support the provision of financial information to the Management team to help them make informed decisions and take the required action.

Duties will include:

1. Support in the preparation of Management Accounts, accruals, and prepayments.
2. Produce monthly Sales figures, margin reports, and analysis.
3. In conjunction with the Finance Manager, create a suite of standard reports and a dashboard to enable the analysis of financial data.
4. In conjunction with the Finance Manager, provide regular standard analysis and forecasting of routine financial information; costs, overheads, pricing, sales, performance, bad debt, credit limits, etc.
5. Make recommendations on trends and projections.
6. Support Finance Manager with a rolling P&L and cash flow forecast.
7. Provide input to the company budgeting process.
8. Manage the input of payroll information, liaising with the payroll provider to resolve any queries.
9. Support the preparation of the company VAT return.
10. Provide input to the Finance Calendar making suggestions for improvements and ensuring it is kept up to date.
11. Act as deputy to the Finance Manager, when required on all Management Accountant activity.
12. Cover for the Assistant Accountant.
13. Actively work with the Assistant Accountant to review currency and help with the provision of a forecast.
