Job description

We're looking for someone who's proactive in spotting opportunities for improvement, confident in challenging the status quo, and eager to promote a culture of ongoing development. Working closely with the Finance Manager, you'll play an integral part in supporting the team's goals and contributing flexibly to a business that's always moving forward.

Key Tasks

  • Prepare monthly management accounts
  • Prepare cost centre reporting as required
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy of the balance sheet
  • Oversee accurate stock counts and monthly stock revaluations
  • Participate in monthly MI meetings, providing analysis and insights to compare actuals against budget and forecast, helping the management team interpret key financial data
  • Support the payroll team with payroll reconciliations, ensuring accurate recordings of payroll taxes, pensions, and other obligations
  • Support with group and local audit and tax processes
  • Assist Finance Managers with any ad-hoc analysis and project work
Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or a related field
  • Part qualified accountant or working towards relevant qualification
  • Previously worked within a team and be able to highlight an ability to work collaboratively
  • Excellent organisation skills and very diligent
  • Thrive within a fast-paced environment and have the desire to match the business growth ambitions
  • An interest in health and fitness is preferable
