We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and focused candidate to join a successful and expanding business based in Luton. The successful candidate will work as an Assistant Management Accountant undertaking the following responsibilities:

• Processing of staff credit card and cash expenses from start to finish
• Processing of purchase invoices and supporting supplier payment runs
• Preparing the month-end payroll journal and reconciliation
• Assisting the Finance Manager in preparation of management accounts
• Assisting the Finance Manager with monthly analysis and month-end reporting
• Assisting the Finance Manager with quarterly VAT computation
• Providing support during year-end audits
• Performing ad hoc tasks as required

Required Skills, Abilities, and Certifications:

• Actively studying ACCA/CIMA or AAT (part qualified)
• Excellent Excel skills
• Detail-oriented and analytical
• Good team player, but also able to work well individually
• Effective communication skills
• Able to work to strict deadlines
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Positive 'can-do' attitude
• Experience working in a fast-paced SME environment
• Familiarity with payroll processes and payroll month-end responsibilities is an advantage
• SAP Business One or similar ERP experience is essential
