Assistant Management Accountant

Our client, a continually growing business, is looking for an Assistant Management Accountant to join the team on a fixed-term contract. You will be joining an established and supportive team with the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and gain exposure across a group of companies.

The successful candidate will demonstrate knowledge and proven experience in the following areas and work with the policies and procedures of financial control and reporting that meet current and future business requirements:

• Assist with month-end close processes, including preparing management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, and posting journals, accruals, and prepayments.
• Help reconcile accounts and ledgers, ensuring accuracy and identifying any discrepancies.
• Carry out bank reconciliations.
• Support the preparation of budget and forecasting information.
• Prepare daily reports and analysis.

To be considered for this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:

• Some management accounting experience is essential.
• Awareness of budgets and trends is advantageous.
• Part qualified ACCA/CIMA or AAT Level 4 is preferred.
• Analytical with a keen eye for detail.
• Efficient with good attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines.
• Ability to interact confidently in the business and wider team.
