Assistant Management Accountant - Multi-Site Business in Hatfield, Hertfordshire

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Management Accountant to join a well-established and dynamic multi-site business based in Hatfield, Hertfordshire. This key role will involve supporting the Management Accountant with month-end activities for the group, as well as working closely with the Accounts Payable and Receivable teams.

We are looking for a well-rounded individual, either a qualified or finalist accountant, with experience in a multi-site environment and exposure to management accounts. If you're looking to add value to a growing and progressive business, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

1. Oversee purchase ledger processes, ensuring invoices are posted and paid accurately and on time.
2. Manage bank reconciliations, ensuring they are kept up to date.
3. Perform balance sheet reconciliations across multiple entities.
4. Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts.
5. Support the month-end and year-end closing procedures.
6. Contribute to the annual and bi-annual audit processes.
7. Assist with minor payroll tasks.
8. Ensure business process and accounting policies documentation is up to date.
9. Collaborate with third-party providers and suppliers.

What We're Looking For

1. Strong numerical ability with excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
2. Proficient IT skills, including advanced Excel; experience with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, etc.) is advantageous.

What's On Offer

1. Competitive salary between £30,000 and £35,000, depending on experience.
