Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Management Accountant to provide dedicated financial support to a prestigious leisure brand. You will work closely with the Senior Management Accountant with day-to-day support, as well as business partnering with operational stakeholders to drive improvements across the business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparing monthly management accounts and financial reports for review
  • Collaborating with budget holders to monitor expenditure and ensure alignment with financial plans
  • Supporting the preparation of annual budgets and re-forecasts
  • Providing financial insights and support in shaping wider business strategies
  • Reconciling balance sheet accounts, investigating discrepancies and escalating unresolved issues
  • Performing revenue reconciliations between financial systems
  • Overseeing financial transactions, ensuring cost allocations are accurate
  • Working closely with external providers to ensure accurate financial reporting
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Part qualified accountant with experience within a finance team
  • Experience in assisting with financial planning and analysis skills
  • Experience working independently and within a team environment
  • Proficiency in accounting software and financial systems
  • Intermediate Excel skills
