Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum
Location: Chorley

Search is partnering with a fast-growing company based in Chorley, and they're on the lookout for an Assistant Management Accountant to join their finance team!

Our client is an award-winning construction company that's been booming over the past year, and they're looking to expand their team even further. The Assistant Management Accountant role is a brand-new, exciting opportunity that will play a key part in the company's growth and success.

In this role, you'll be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable, ensuring everything complies with regulations, and providing valuable insights to support key business decisions. You'll be reporting to the Head of Finance, assisting with admin and business support, and getting the chance to grow within the company with plenty of internal progression opportunities.

Your key responsibilities will include:

1. Preparing monthly Management Accounts
2. Handling CIS deductions and subcontractor pre-qualification checks
3. Managing cash flow
4. Overseeing accounts payable and receivable
5. Performing bank reconciliations
6. Raising and issuing works purchase orders
7. Assisting with year-end financial statements

This role is a stand-alone position and will report into the Head of Finance.

Requirements:

1. Proficiency in Xero and Excel
2. Strong understanding of prepayments and accruals
3. At least 3 years in a similar role
4. CIS experience is essential
5. Part or Fully Qualified - AAT/ACCA/CIMA
