Job description

Assistant Management Accountant + Study support. Located in Banbury, 3 days work from home

Your new company

Seeking an Assistant Management Accountant to join a well-established manufacturer located in Banbury, flexibility in start and finishing times optional, as well as hybrid working. This role targets individuals looking to further develop themselves. Your role will be to support the Finance team with the delivery of accurate management accounts by assisting with cost centre reporting and general ledger support.

Your new role

  1. Assisting with month-end procedures such as prepayments, depreciation of fixed assets
  2. Assisting with VAT and tax returns when required
  3. Preparing and entering journal entries into the system
  4. Assisting with cost centre reporting with business partners
  5. Ensuring reconciliations are carried out for all accounts across various entities
  6. Producing accurate compliance reports
  7. Assisting with answering enquiries
  8. Support year-end work for the audit.
What you'll need to succeed
  1. Analytical thinker and problem-solver
  2. High level of accuracy and eye for detail
  3. Proficient with spreadsheet software
  4. Ability to work as part of a team and take direction accurately
  5. Ideally, studying for ACCA or CIMA qualifications, but not essential
