Assistant Logistics Beverage Manager

ExCeL London, the home of world leading events is enjoying a period of significant growth and is set to become Europe’s largest connected convention centre with the opening of a new extension in Autumn 2024, increasing capacity by 25%. Overall purpose of the role:

The Assistant Logistics Beverage Manager will be running the cellar day to day logistics operation for every Conference and Event function within the venue. Reporting to the Beverage Logistics Manager and Head of Logistics, you will be responsible to plan, dispatch and collect any beverage products across the Excel, in the company areas.

More information about the role:

  • Alongside the Beverage Logistics Manager, being responsible to run all the cellar operations. Deliver drinks strictly according to paper works and stock sheets.
  • Responsible for collecting any beverage post events, clearing fridges allocated for beverage, maintain their level of cleanliness pre, during and post events.
  • Liaising with Operation Managers and Front of House Team to ensure the stock sheets returned completed and accurate within event deadlines.
  • Responsible for the Beverage holding stock level in the warehouse.
  • Responsible for any Cellar equipment delivery and collection, as their storage and maintenance within the warehouse and cages. Promptly informing the head of department of any losses or breakages.
  • Liaison with 3rd party Cellar supplier and contractors to underpin effective service delivery.
  • Attending events planning meetings once requested
  • Supporting the Beverage Logistics Manager with cellar orders, when required.
  • Report any maintenance issue within the company venue areas to the Facility Manager or Head of Logistics.
  • Ensure the Cellar warehouse area is maintained to the highest cleanliness and tidiness standards.
  • Work ahead of events with all departments to ensure items that are required for events are available when needed.

About you:

  • Previous experience within a similar role is required

  • Excellent communications skills – able to influence all stakeholder levels.

  • Exudes confidence, energy, and charisma.

  • Demonstrates flexibility and agility.

  • Calm and structured approach, coupled with resilience and problem-solving skills.

  • Preferable forklift driving license holder.
