Assistant HSE Engineer

Certain Advantage is hiring for an Assistant HSE Engineer based in the Scotland area.

This role is on a permanent basis and is site-based.

The Company

We're working with a trusted provider of engineering, project management, and integrated solutions, helping the UK Government and businesses tackle complex challenges efficiently.

The Role:

This role is for an Assistant HSE Engineer - someone ambitious and ready to make an impact. You'll be results-oriented and driven to succeed.

You'll be working in a small, experienced, and collaborative team, and be responsible for:

  1. Monitoring and reporting on the effectiveness of the HSE Management system and progress against HSE Performance Standards.
  2. Development and implementation of Projects HS procedures and arrangements.
  3. Work with Station ISE and Environmental Safety Engineers to coordinate Project scope of work, share best practices and implement HSE initiatives.

The Individual

We're looking for people who can show:
  1. HNC in a relevant technical discipline or equivalent.
  2. IEMA Foundation Certificate in Environmental Management.
  3. Current qualification/knowledge of the CDM Regulations. NEBOSH General Certificate, Construction Certificate or NVQ Level 3.
  4. Member of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) desirable.
  5. Suitable relevant experience working as an HSE Professional in a project context.
