Assistant Herd Manager job for 400 cow dairy - South East

Assistant herd manager for 400 cow dairy.

Recent investment in milking facilities, auto dip and flush, future cow brush, auto footbaths.

Housed all year round in sawdust cubicles and TMR fed.

Duties

Duties to include but not limited to:

1. Milking
2. Feeding
3. Colostrum management
4. Artificial Insemination (AI)
5. Foot trimming
6. Dehorning

This role requires an interest and passion in high yielding dairy cows. We are looking for someone to manage the dairy in the absence of the herd manager and work alongside them to achieve farm KPI's.

Accommodation

4 bed house on farm, free from rent and council tax.

Salary

Starting salary up to £35k depending on experience, with yearly reviews. Opportunity to progress and develop for the right, proactive individual.
