Description

McBains has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Project Management professional to join our vibrant Manchester based Project Management team.

Ideally, the candidate will have up to 1-2 years’ experience, be self-motivated and confident in a client facing role. Some UK travel may be required as part of this role.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to be mentored by colleagues, work with other graduates and trainees, and join our established APC training programme.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Day-to-day delivery of projects
  2. Positively engaging with Clients and developing, growing and maintaining Client relationships.
  3. Developing the project management strategy and delivery
  4. Establishing effective processes and systems to be utilised throughout the project
  5. Producing cost plans, feasibilities and optioneering
  6. Change Management assessment, tracking and reporting
  7. Manage Risk processes and Value Management
  8. Work with supply chain and implement effective procurement
  9. Liaising with the client, contractors, and designers
  10. Managing sub-consultants and Construction Managers
  11. Attending and chairing meetings
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  1. Up to 1-2+ years’ experience
  2. Excellent verbal, numerical and report/proposal writing skills
  3. Excellent people skills and communicator, both with client teams and team based
  4. Commercially astute with good negotiation skills
  5. Flexible and can work to deadlines
  6. Ability to successfully manage and prioritise multiple projects and different stages of delivery
  7. Be conversant in large project delivery (up to £100m)
  8. JCT and NEC experience
  9. BTR experience
  10. Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary organisation
  11. Assisting in the development of new business opportunities with existing and new clients.
  12. Identifying and acting upon cross-selling opportunities
  13. Microsoft office proficiency
