Assistant Flood Risk Consultant- Harlow

My client, a specialist UK based Engineering Consultancy which specialises in Drainage, Civil and Flood Risk Engineering, is searching for an Assistant Flood Risk Consultant to join an established team based in Harlow.

It is essential that applicants have a strong academic background in a relevant discipline including a BSc and/or MSc in Hydrology, Environmental Science or Civil Engineering and experience working for a UK based Consultancy or Local Authority completing flood risk assessments for flood zones 1, 2 and 3.

It is also beneficial for applicants to reside locally and have experience completing drainage strategies and drainage designs using AutoCAD or Infodrainage.

This exciting role will offer candidates the opportunity to join a team of experienced Engineers to work on varied Residential, Commercial and Educational Projects including schools and large residential tower blocks for Private Sector Clients, Housing Developers and Local Authorities.

Applicants will also be supported to complete the following:

1. Flood risk assessments for flood zones 1, 2 and 3.
2. Detailed drainage and sewerage design using AutoCAD and Infodrainage for schools, residential, commercial and educational projects for Private and Public Clients and Government Bodies.
3. Drainage area planning.
4. Flood Risk Maps.
5. Training for hydraulic modelling using flood modeller and Tuflow.
