Job description

Hotel: Hong Kong TST (HKGKH), 11 Middle Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon

Every room has to be perfect. We’re searching for the right Assistant Executive Housekeeper for Kimpton Tsim Sha Tsui Hong Kong to support the Executive Housekeeper to ensure our standards never slip – managing all aspects of our housekeeping and laundry operations to deliver memorable and unique guest experiences with every single stay.

A little taste of your day-to-day

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:

  1. Ensuring our guest accommodation and all areas front and heart of house are maintained in spotless condition at all times.
  2. Ensuring outside laundry plant and uniform room are in order to obtain a smooth operation and high-quality performance.
  3. Responsible for the proper training, showing the team the standard of services and covering the various tasks.
  4. Training new staff and ensuring that new employees are familiar with house rules and regulations including safety and hygiene.
  5. Organizing work with proper personnel, making necessary revisions in staffing and work schedule.
  6. Monitoring the activities of the Rooms Control person to ensure the efficient allocation of rooms for cleaning and prompt change of status to the front office.
  7. Ensuring proper supplies, equipment, and uniforms.
  8. Fulfilling the duties of the Executive Housekeeper in their absence.

What we need from you

  1. A minimum of 6 years’ experience in hotel housekeeping team, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  2. A higher diploma in hospitality management, or equivalent.
  3. Strong service mindset, good planning and organizing skills.
  4. Excellent leadership, training, and coaching skills.
  5. Multi-tasking abilities and attention to detail.
  6. Good command of both English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin) is a must, speaking and writing.
  7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Word.
