Assistant Director of Wellness

Reporting to the Director of Wellness, the Assistant Director of Wellness will work alongside the Director of Wellness to lead a clinical team to provide care support and services.

What you’ll be doing:

You will be a welcomed member of the Aspira Management team and impact the following ways:

  1. Collaborating with the Director of Wellness to promote and ensure standards of practice are achieved and evaluated; completing all stable resident Re-assessments in conjunction with the Nursing team, in absence of DOW complete Initial assessments, developing service plans, and arranging resident/family care conferences as required to ensure all data is valid and up to date.
  2. Ensuring resident care needs are assessed; developing plan of care and determining corresponding care fees and staffing requirements.
  3. Collaborating with the Director of Wellness to schedule and adjust staffing levels to ensure consistency with the residence’s occupancy levels, the acuity of the residents, and the services being offered.
  4. Provide oversight and management of the Continence Care Program; completing assessments, orders, sizing, and service transitions.
  5. Overseeing and supervising the medication administration program including administering medications, completing audits, monitoring control, training of new team members, and safekeeping of drugs and narcotics.
  6. Coverage for DOW Absences.
  7. Manage Wellness Team Onboarding and education requirements.
  8. Developing professional and collaborative relationships with hospital staff, participating in marketing outreach such as presentations on wellness services and aging in place philosophy.
  9. Performing other duties as assigned.

Who you are:

  1. An exceptional manager with a demonstrated track record of delivering results and continuously improving performance.
  2. A Registered Practical Nurse in good standing with a minimum of three years’ experience in Geriatrics, Rehabilitation, and/or senior health industry.
  3. You have good judgement, the ability to identify risk, and can foster a positive work environment.
  4. Can demonstrate strong technology skills in Microsoft Office suite programs.
