The Assistant Director of Performance and Planning is accountable to the Director of Performance and Planning for ensuring that accurate and timely information, analysis and interpretation is available to support the running of the Trust. The post holder is responsible for a variety of departments, all with very challenging and varying strategic goals.
Working to the Director of Performance and Planning, the post-holder will act as a senior leader responsible for data, reporting, contracts information, operational activity planning, clinical coding and validation.
Responsible for delivering the Trust-wide information and performance reporting solution, ensuring that all care groups and corporate departments adhere to the process. Deliver expert advice and workshops on the Trust performance reporting solution.
Corporate responsibility for delivering the Trust's information and performance systems that enable clinicians, operational and clinical managers and executives to interpret Trust performance and enable decision-making.
Responsible for the production of Contract activity and income proposals, ensuring that adequate levels of activity are covered in order to meet the Trust's strategic direction. The post holder will be the Trust expert on the NHS contract.

Responsible for delivering the performance scorecard system to all care groups monthly, in a timely and accurate manner.
To provide analytical support and resources to care groups in the effective and efficient management of their business.
Be the Trust's responsible Officer for the compilation, maintenance and treatment of the Secondary Uses Data/Hospital Episode Statistics to NHSE.
Performance Management
Corporate responsibility for delivering the Trust's information and performance systems that enable clinicians, operational and clinical managers and executives to interpret Trust performance and enable decision-making.
Provide specialist knowledge to operational and clinical managers on performance measures covering personnel, financial, and clinical areas.
Lead on the Trust's performance management framework, working with clinical directors, general and business managers and external benchmarking sources.
Contracts
Provide technical support to the Finance and Contracts teams in the negotiation of the Trust's contracts with ICBs (including National and Specialist Services Consortia).
Responsible for the production of Contract activity and income proposals, ensuring that adequate levels of activity are covered in order to meet the Trust's strategic direction. The post holder will be the Trust expert on the NHS contract.
Responsible for the distribution of monthly contract monitoring reports to ICBs and other Specialist Commissioners and, working with Care Group leads to respond to issues from ICBs on contract performance.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
