Assistant Contracts Manager

We are seeking an experienced Team Lead / Assistant Contracts Manager to supervise a team of Grounds Maintenance operatives around the Bedford, Bedfordshire area.

You will need a full UK Driving Licence, but Company Vehicle is provided.

Main Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Contracts Manager to deliver the service level agreement and associated service specifications
• Conduct regular review of sites to ensure teams are delivering the service specifications
• Support Continual Professional Development (CPD) of all colleagues through the Skills Development Programme and formal qualification
• Coach, lead, direct and performance manage colleagues
• Develop, build and strengthen client and resident relationships
• Ensure service teams are compliant with Health and Safety and Quality business practices
• Ensure all service teams receive an effective update each week
• Develop measures to motivate all colleagues
• Ensure we are exceeding and leading the way in truly exceptional customer service delivery
• Support clients in the development of Apprenticeship, work placement, resident employment & training schemes
• In the absence of the Contracts Manager you will be expected to deliver all aspects of the contracts manager job description

What are we looking for?

• Full, Clean UK Driving Licence (Manual)
• Prior experience of leading or supervising Grounds Maintenance teams desirable
• Prior experience of managing customer relationships
• Excellent multi-tasking and organisational skills
• Excellent problem solving skills
• IT literate (use of tablet, smart phone apps)
• Excellent communication and customer service skills, both verbal and written (English)
• Working knowledge of Health and Safety requirements / safe working practices
