This interesting and diverse investment manager with operations in over 8 different jurisdictions globally is now seeking to recruit an Assistant Company Secretary on a full-time, permanent basis.
The role will be a new one to the team in this form and will report directly to the General Counsel who is also the Co-Chief Operating Officer. From a headcount perspective, the company is relatively small, and their structure is quite flat. This allows for some great exposure right at the heart of the company and will suit someone with more of a commercial and dynamic mindset.
The group structure is quite complex, and as the company is a diversified asset manager, the firm operates a large number of corporate and partnership vehicles. Therefore, it is thought that someone with experience from within the asset management industry might be better suited to this role - experience of different Funds and SPVs would be highly advantageous.
Above all else, the role would suit someone who is highly organized, can communicate with multiple different stakeholders well, and can spot and address potential problems before they arise. A large element of this role is working with individuals in different jurisdictions, as well as external counsel, in ensuring the group's corporate and partnership vehicles comply with their legal and regulatory requirements. Those at all levels are encouraged to apply, and the company is happy to consider those who are not yet CGI qualified as well as those who are.
The London office is based in SW1, and the company has a hybrid working policy of 2-3 days per week in the office. A competitive salary and discretionary bonus are on offer, commensurate with the level of candidate they appoint. A full job description is available on request.
