We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Commercial Trader working on a full-time basis within Leicestershire.

About the role:

The Assistant Commercial Trader will have trading responsibilities for products on a national basis, monitoring agreed trading positions and volume levels. Providing accurate commercial information and market information to the Farm customers, Total Feed Specialists, Field Based Account Managers and merchants.

  1. Achieve outbound sales targets.
  2. Drive sales campaigns.
  3. Provide volume availability and prices for enquiries.
  4. Support the sales coordinate team in developing best practices.
  5. Follow up on leads from the Salesforce.
  6. Identify new business opportunities.
  7. Ensure clearance of products from points of supply to satisfaction of suppliers.
  8. Input data to ensure CRM systems are up to date and accurate.
  9. Attend meetings.
  10. Ensure communication is maintained with all key personnel at supply sites.

Requirement to provide on-call cover evenings and weekends.

About you:

  1. Higher Education level preferred (Degree, BTEC).
  2. Computer literate - CRM experience essential.
  3. Minimum 2 years work experience within a telesales environment.
  4. Commercial aptitude.
  5. Motivation for sales and commercial acumen.
  6. Customer focus, can close sales.
  7. Ability to motivate internal and external sales teams, suppliers, and logistic partners.
  8. Understanding of the agricultural sector.
