We are looking for an Assistant Centre Manager at our Hanningfield Reservoir Nature Discovery Park between Chelmsford and Billericay.
Opened in 2012 and situated on the 11th largest reservoir in England, our Nature Discovery Centre at Hanningfield Reservoir offers beautiful walks through the woodland, taking in bird hides, ponds and views across the reservoir.
Our friendly team provides fantastic customer service to our visitors. As the Assistant Centre Manager, the post holder will work closely with the Site Manager to deliver day-to-day operations (administrative duties, retail and food and beverage), supervise staff and volunteers, and interact with guests to ensure an engaging visitor experience.
It is essential that the post holder has front-facing retail and/or hospitality experience, is self-motivated, has a ‘can-do’ attitude, and is willing to support team members during busy periods. We are looking for someone who thrives on providing a welcoming visitor experience in a customer-facing environment and possesses strong people skills. This role is a fixed-term (until 30 April 2026) full-time position working 37.5 hours per week between 9:00am to 5:00pm, five out of seven days (Monday to Sunday) with an alternative weekend off arrangement in place.
