In this hands-on role, you will play a key part in creating a lively and welcoming atmosphere for both our guests and team. Your dynamic personality and strong leadership skills will help foster a positive environment, ensuring exceptional service and positive, memorable experiences for our customers and team.
A strong background in kitchen and cooking is essential, as you will be required to be hands-on in the kitchen from the start.
Duties
- Oversee the daily operations of the café, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery.
- Lead, train, and inspire café staff to deliver engaging and friendly customer experiences.
- Manage food preparation and production processes, upholding our high standards for food safety and quality.
- Maintain inventory levels and coordinate supply orders, keeping operations running seamlessly.
- Create and implement fun and effective training programs that enhance hospitality standards and food safety practices.
- Craft staff schedules to ensure we’re always ready to serve during our busiest times.
- Handle customer inquiries and feedback with warmth and professionalism, turning every interaction into a positive experience.
- Collaborate with the team to develop seasonal menus that showcase the latest trends and our commitment to quality.
- Monitor financial performance to ensure we’re hitting our sales targets and controlling costs effectively.
- Manage and run the café alongside the team in the absence of senior management, maintaining operations and service standards.
- Learn current processes and practices from established team members to ensure continuity and excellence in our services.
- Bring a strong hands-on kitchen and cooking experience, actively participating in food preparation and customer service from the beginning.
Skills
- An energetic leader with a knack for motivating and engaging team members.
- Previous experience in a café or restaurant setting with a focus on customer service.
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations and best practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; you’ll be our voice of hospitality!
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment while keeping a keen eye on detail.
- Proven experience in documented 1-2-1 coaching and development of team members.
- A background in restaurant management is a plus, but what matters most is your passion for creating exceptional guest experiences!

Pay: £12.00-£13.50 per hour
